Miniature Painting 203: Beyond Contrast Paints

To show a faster method of painting miniatures to an above tabletop standard. It is recommended that students have taken Painting 101 with Bryan, Painting 201 with Aaron, and the Contrast Paints workshop as an introduction before attending this class. This class will focus on methods to speed up your painting process to help get your models painted at a higher level.
Miniature Painting 203 (Beyond Contrast Colors with Bob) is a more advanced level painting course for all ages. In this course, students will learn advanced techniques that will help them kick start their painting backlog of models to get them to the table faster and at a higher level of detail. These include:
Loaded Brush – Students will learn how to use contrast colors and regular paints at the same time with the same brush
Layer Painting – Students will apply previously learned technique of layer painting and how this technique can add depth to their miniatures
Color Blending – Students will learn the basics of color blending and color theory, which are essential skills for all painters
Targeted Washes – Students will apply washes to enhance the sculpt of their miniature and simple ways to add depth to their miniature painting
The course lasts 3 hours. Students are encouraged to ask questions and receive feedback from the instructor, which will sometimes cause the course to run over time.
Students only need to provide
Model Holder/GW Paint Handle (Optional)
Students will finish Miniature Painting 203 with a deeper understanding of how to use contrast and regular paints to enhance and speed up their respective painting process to painting miniatures.
The course costs $15. *

Students must arrive and be ready to paint within the first 25 minutes of the class start time. Arrivals after this time will not be seated and will forfeit their ticket with no refund.
This course is finely timed (drying time, instruction, etc.) and this policy has been put into place due to previous class disruptions, which can affect the experience for all the students. Thank you for your cooperation.
